Little People, Big World’s Zach Roloff Is Stressed Out Ahead Of Daughter’s Sleep Study

Zach Roloff and Tori Roloff are about to send their daughter Lilah to a sleep study on Little People, Big World. The Roloff family’s reality show has featured a lot of personal struggles over the years. Early on in Little People, Big World season 25, Zach faced his own worrying crisis when he had to undergo emergency shunt surgery. Sometimes, the drama on this show isn’t that big of a deal. Every so often, though, a situation comes up that warrants a more serious tone.

In the next episode of Little People, Big World season 25, Zach Roloff will be taking Lilah to a sleep study, as teased in a preview clip courtesy of People. Zach admits, “I’m nervous about it. It’s going to be a long night, I think, and I don’t see…it going well.” While in their house, Tori says that Lilah is excited for her “little night away with Dad” because she seems to be under the impression that they’re going to a spa.

A little bit later on in the Little People, Big World preview clip, Tori finally opens up about why Lilah’s upcoming sleep study is necessary. She explains that sleep studies are recommended by doctors “to make sure that there’s not obstructed sleep apnea.” Zach adds that “people with Dwarfism” have airways that are built “slightly different.” As a result, they have a higher chance of “something going wrong” when undergoing surgery. Alongside that, the sleep study will help Lilah’s doctors make sure that she can handle being put under anesthesia.

As Zach and Tori’s daughter puts on her backpack to get ready to leave, Lilah’s father tries to explain to her what she’s about to experience. He puts it in very simple terms so that she can understand the situation as best she can at her age, like saying that there will be “stickers” put all over her head to monitor her sleep patterns. When Zach says he hopes Lilah “has a good idea” about what’s going on now, Tori chimes in to disagree, saying, “I don’t think she has a good idea.” Zach worries that Lilah will get scared and then have a hard time recovering.

It’s clear not just in the comments that Zach and Tori make that they’re worried, but it’s also evident in their facial expressions. With Tori staying at home during Lilah’s sleep study, she won’t be able to see up close what her daughter is going through, even though they plan to FaceTime at some point. No one can blame them for being worried. Based on how they explained the situation, it seems like the sleep study is necessary and will provide important data to help Lilah as she grows up.
