Little People’s Tori Roloff shares ‘stressful’ and ‘draining’ news about son Josiah, 1, after begging fans for help

The TLC alum shared several Instagram Stories about her son Josiah, 1, whom she shares with her husband Zach, 33.

In the posts, Tori, 32, explained that she’d finally found a solution after battling through the young boy’s trouble getting to sleep.

“Okay, what’s up, guys? I am just making the boy’s beds here before bedtime,” the TLC star said.

“If you’ve followed me at all for the last couple months, I had reached out on social media asking about how we can make sleep easier for Josiah, because he was just having a really hard time with going to bed and he would cry every single night.

“It was super stressful and draining and, you know, just not fun as a mom.”

The reality television star added, “And so I just wanted to jump on here and give a quick little update because I have had some of you ask me about it, and we found something that’s helped him so much in sleeping and just getting to bed on his own.”

Tori then showed off the weighted sleep sack she used for her son, praising its impact on Josiah’s sleep and adding a discount code for her social media followers.

Back in December, Tori described Josiah’s sleeping issues in more detail.

“Does anyone else’s one-year-old cry themselves to sleep every night?” she asked.

“Josiah hates bedtime. Every night. Every nap. It’s starting to weigh on me so bad. Once he’s asleep he naps and sleeps all night just fine…

“Is this just how he soothes himself? Please tell me he’s not the only one. We’ve tried literally everything to get him to go to bed easier and literally nothing has worked.

“It doesn’t last longer than 5 minutes, but I feel such guilt every single night to end my day with him crying!!”

WEIGHTY DEBATE
While Tori seemed excited by her new sleep tactic, her sister Audrey Roloff, 31, came under fire from fans who claimed the products were dangerous for babies.

Audrey also promoted weighted sleep sacks, after gushing about the effects on her son Radley, 2, but was slammed on Reddit for the endorsement.

“Oh my god! Sleep sacks are so not safe! WTF is she even thinking?” asked one critic.

“The thought of putting a weighted blanket over a newborn makes my toes curl,” said a second.

“Can’t imagine possibly putting babies’ lives at risk in order to capitalize on a trend,” another social media user complained.

In January 2023, the American Academy of Pediatrics sent a letter to the Consumer Product Safety Commission and ASTM International, a technical standards development organization.

The AAP warned placing weight on babies while they are sleeping poses a potentially fatal risk.

Weighted sleep sacks hypothetically increase the risk of sudden infant death syndrome by making it harder for babies to respond to hazards, such as a lack of oxygen.

‘PARENTING IS HARD’
Back in December, Tori shared another problem she was dealing with at home.

Josiah has two older siblings: a brother, Jackson, 6, and a sister, Lilah, 3.

In an Instagram post about her family, Tori admitted, “Parenting is hard sometimes and I feel like I could’ve done tonight so much better. It’s hard putting your kids to bed after a frustrating evening. I have such guilt and just want to go wake them all up and cuddle them.

“Tomorrow is a new day and I thank God for his grace and my family for their forgiveness. Also thank goodness for @zroloff07.”

Tori’s hint that she was facing tough parenting battles came after she admitted that Josiah was struggling with temper tantrums.

She shared, “Josiah just tends… I think he’s just a really frustrated kid, like tends to get angry a lot faster. Our other kids never really threw tantrums… Josiah tends to do that.

“So Zach and I are just trying to navigate how to parent this because we don’t want to encourage the behavior but then also we just think he’s really frustrated because he wants to be with his older siblings and this morning he really wanted to go outside but he didn’t want to put his shoes on, you know, so we just had a power struggle.”
